THE Abbey Church is to open its 15-day cafe during the TT period.
First held last year, the cafe was a resounding success, raising more than £6,000 for church funds.

But a lot of work and logistical organisation is involved with 50 volunteers kept busy cooking, baking, working in the kitchen or waitressing.

The cafe, in the church hall, is open from 8am to 5.30pm from Saturday until to Saturday, June 7.

The menu includes all-day breakfast, a dish of the day, sandwiches and rolls, cream teas and cakes and hot and cold drinks.
