SIR NORMAN WISDOM
1915 - 2010

It with great sadness that we learned of the death of Sir Norman Wisdom at Abbotswood Nursing Home Ballasalla, yesterday, Norman was a great entertainer in many fields, but also a great ambassador to the Isle of Man and its people. It was a privilege to have Norman living within our community for the last 3 years.
He will be sadly missed by millions all over the world, but in particular the whole population of this Island. I take this opportunity to pass the condolences of not only the residents of Ballasalla and Andreas but everyone here on Normans home Island.
If I can quote the feelings of his close friend Rick Wakeman ' When I heard the very sad news, I spent an hour sitting quietly remembering all the great times I had with man, and I ended up laughing' I know many of us will feel the same at the wonderful times we were entertained either when watching Norman on TV and films, or those with the privilge of meeting him personally.
God bless Norman and thank you.
