Crossag Farm Tynwald Update

The developer behind the failed Crossag Farm housing scheme is to go to the High Court to challenge the refusal of the Planning Permission.

J.G.Kelly Ltd will argue that the planning inspector’s decision was flawed as the land had been zoned for new development and will call for it to be quashed.

The planning decision was a major set back for the Department of Local Government and the Environment, which wanted to build 250 house consisting of large private houses, a number of public sector and first time buyer houses.

The shortage of local facilities including a new school, were among the reason cited for the refusal.

DoLGE minister John Shimmin told Tynwald the school was on hold until the out come of the case.
